Our Chardonnay was sourced from Damien Blanchon at Afton Mountain Vineyards. His vineyard is farmed utilizing many biodynamic and organic principles and practices and sees very minimal spraying throughout the year (which is very difficult to do in Virginia). Nothing added, nothing taken away. It was fermented with native yeast and finished fermentation in the bottle (a la Méthode ancestrale) then hand disgorged after about 9 months of aging on the lees. Zippy, spritzy, fresh and light. A fun crusher. Best enjoyed with friends.
